Birthday Visit

There is nothing better than getting a car for your birthday
and getting to drive down and say hi to all your animal friends!
The animals were very curious and did come closer to see.
Adaline loves to walk down and visit them but today
she drove! lol

Sewing Room Getting New Look

I have the best husband EVER!
For Christmas he made me a new sewing table!
I am left handed and I wanted an "L" shaped
sewing table so I could use my sewing machine and
my embroidery machine at the same time.
And it had to be done with my sewing machine
base I have had forever. He had fixed it to be used with my
machine years ago.

So he added another base to it and it only had 3 good drawers
so he connected them together!
And when I got it these knobs were all brown and
so he polished them up and they look beautiful.

He made the table so it locks together like kitchen tables
do so I can separate them if I want to.
So I can sew with someone else if I want to.

I think it turned out perfect!
And my wire basket looks just right with it.

I am all set up and ready to go!

Kelly cut me a board the perfect size to cover for a
pressing board and it now in the perfect spot.

I got some of the room cleaned up.
lol never ending job....

I love the TV stand Kelly made too!

This corner will have a new table soon.
He's making me another one so my girls can sew in
my room with me.
Its going to be the cutest table too!

My shelves are a bit messy right now but I want you to see
how cute Kelly made them for me too.
He matched the trim of the shelves to make them match.
That door on the right is and ironing board.

An clean cutting table.....lol....
that wont last!

If I could think of something else to use besides these I would.
But they are full of everything from patterns to ribbons so not sure what else to use.

I also like they are stackable so through the years I have rearranged
them several times.

I do have a thing for dress forms.
I will post more sewing room pictures when the other table is done.

Trying a New Pattern

I love trying new patterns!
And Jenny from Missouri Star Quilt Company always has the best ideas.

This is her Spiderweb Quilt with the wacky template.

I loved making this one.

You can see how to do it on her YouTube channel.
Or just search Spiderweb Quilt using Wacky Template.
I will suggest after making each block to pull the paper off then. I waited until I had it all sewn together and it took forever!
Even Norris loves this quilt!

Off to quilt it now!

This is my kitchen and the best bacon cooker ever
My Husband!
When we moved in the cupboards went clear to the wall
So Kelly took out the last section so my hutch
Would fit.

Kelly finished the kitchen moldings and I love them.
We are planning on doing this through the whole
House.

I think he did a great job!

First Came the Chicken

First we got Chickens and now we are getting EGGS!

We have 7 girls and they are all free range chickens...
Which is a farm phrase that means they go where ever they want.

And that even means on the front porch!
I didn't know I would enjoy Chickens so much.
They are so fun to just watch.

And going out to the coop and finding eggs is so fun.
Its like getting presents every day....lol
They always stick together and love to run down every morning
by the Alpacas. Its like they are so excited to see the boys they have to run all they.

Is Your Tree Up or Down?

Is your tree up or down no that Christmas is over?
I love having Christmas trees up so I am not one to hurry and take down right after.

I enjoy the sparkle of the lights and just the fun feeling it gives to a room.

I know this maybe a an over load but here is my tree from different angles.
Oh and this one is before I hung my valance.

Look at the sparkle....
who wouldn't like to sit by a light Christmas tree.

If watching TV or stitching in the rocker the lights are just so fun.

I really enjoy putting up the tree and seeing the decorations again every year.

I even enjoy the christmas pillows and quilts we pull out each year.

I have so much fun deciding where to hang some of the quilts too!

I have a tree in my bedroom and the living room too!

Yes I did 3 trees this year and I am not ready to take down any of them.
How about you?

Sewing room Is Finished!

This is my sewing room completely done!
Well I am not done unpacking into it, but that will take a while.
I m so excited to have it done.
I love my ironing board, it looks like a cupboard until you open it!
It can turn side to side also.
And that Man of Mine put shelves in the closet and decorated the top for me!

I just love having all these shelves for my fabric.
I am still waiting for the folding ferries to get here and finish folding all my fabric.

I love having my sewing machine in front of the window so I get more light.
I can watch and make sure Henry doesn't run off down the road.
He likes to follow other dogs when the walk by....

My long arm fits along this wall and I was so glad it fit.
On the wall is a chalk board so I can make notes when I need to.
Love it!

This is how it all started.
Lime green and worn out carpet.
Then no carpet and a new paint color
"Holiday in Barbados".

Carpet then vinyl
I love the checkered floor. I think it makes a much funnier room!
Especially for a sewing room!

See so much fun!
but the decorating was so much fun....
even if I got in the Man of Mine's way.
LOL good thing he's used to it!

He had the shelf 1/2 way done when I had him hanging pictures and the chalk board.
He's the best ...no complaining or anything!

See how cute the closet turned out!
I love the top and all the shelves.
Kelly is the best!

Yes he hung a quilt before he was done with the shelf......hahahaha I just couldn't wait.
he only needed 1/2 of the ladder rail for the top not all of it.
My design wall and ironing board cupboard look so good with the frame that Man of Mine made!
He knows what I like and just makes it!
I am very lucky!

I found the cutest wall decal and that Man of Mine put it up!
Kelly made me a frame that I added a piece of the fabric from the line I am using to decorate with.
My friend gave me this teapot and I just love it.

I am not to sure of the curtains yet but this was before I put a tie back on them.

Dress forms are one of my favorite thing. I have been collecting them for years.
When I saw this fabric line I knew it would be perfect to go with my dress forms and sewing machines. I covered the ironing board with fabric from the line.
Love it!

I love the chandelier above my cutting table.
Update:
That Man of mine isn't happy with the TV shelf so he is working on adding more to make it better.
I will post an update when he is done!
Stop by soon,
Debbie
