Picking Lights

 

I have been looking and looking for lights and I found these.

The top one will be going over table and the bottom one will be going over the island.

 

 

It is so hard to decide....I couldn't decide on black, stainless steal or polished stainless.

Then I saw these and the decision was made.

Now on to new knobs for the kitchen cupboards.

But I am thinking I want to paint them too.

Maybe a pale yellow....

 

Paint Guns are the Best!

We have alway just rolled everything and we decided to save time a get a paint gun, 

Best idea of the day! Oh my gosh it is so much faster and looks so nice. 

We will be painting the cupboards now for sure just not now. 

They are kind of a pain to clean out but well worth the money and saved time.

We got an 850 Power Wagner and I would recommend it highly!

We did take time to enjoy our visitors!

And So it Begins

This is a before picture and now the work begins.

The kitchen needs room for my darling hutch that I love, 

so that "Man of Mine" said my favorite thing...."anything you want Dear".

And he went to work taking out cupboards to make room.

Once this is done the painting begins. Going from Orange to a creamy

beige.  My kitchen will look French Country when I get done.

I hope anyway...

Now for desk at the bottom.

He's the best Husband doing what I want.

He did get to enjoy some of the day on the deck.

Leap Of Faith

 

This is my story of a leap of faith.

I moved to the San Juan Islands from Utah about 7 months ago. I sold my home, left my kids and grand kids and took on a new job.

 But I moved to Paradise with my Husband!

The San Juan Islands are one of the most beautiful place EVER!

If I ever question my decision I just go for a drive.

The picture above is my new back yard ....or so it will be in 2 weeks when we close on our new place.

This blog will bring you on my journey.

We will be redoing a house into a "Cottage in the Woods" and sharing all of the things we will be learning and doing along the way.

I hope you stop by often I am sure I can use some advice  from time to time....

I went from the suburbs to the woods...

This will be so exciting...at least I am hoping so.
