Birthday Visit

There is nothing better than getting a car for your birthday
and getting to drive down and say hi to all your animal friends!
The animals were very curious and did come closer to see.
Adaline loves to walk down and visit them but today
she drove! lol

Sewing Room Getting New Look

I have the best husband EVER!
For Christmas he made me a new sewing table!
I am left handed and I wanted an "L" shaped
sewing table so I could use my sewing machine and
my embroidery machine at the same time.
And it had to be done with my sewing machine
base I have had forever. He had fixed it to be used with my
machine years ago.

So he added another base to it and it only had 3 good drawers
so he connected them together!
And when I got it these knobs were all brown and
so he polished them up and they look beautiful.

He made the table so it locks together like kitchen tables
do so I can separate them if I want to.
So I can sew with someone else if I want to.

I think it turned out perfect!
And my wire basket looks just right with it.

I am all set up and ready to go!

Kelly cut me a board the perfect size to cover for a
pressing board and it now in the perfect spot.

I got some of the room cleaned up.
lol never ending job....

I love the TV stand Kelly made too!

This corner will have a new table soon.
He's making me another one so my girls can sew in
my room with me.
Its going to be the cutest table too!

My shelves are a bit messy right now but I want you to see
how cute Kelly made them for me too.
He matched the trim of the shelves to make them match.
That door on the right is and ironing board.

An clean cutting table.....lol....
that wont last!

If I could think of something else to use besides these I would.
But they are full of everything from patterns to ribbons so not sure what else to use.

I also like they are stackable so through the years I have rearranged
them several times.

I do have a thing for dress forms.
I will post more sewing room pictures when the other table is done.

SnOw!!

This was my drive into work.

I moved here 3 years ago and it snow that winter and it didn't last to long.
It hadn't snowed again until this year.

And it hasn't stopped. Its been a very weird winter.
I am watching it snow now
from office and really hoping it stops soon.
It beautiful but I don't really enjoy it when
I have to go outside.

PeeWees Win Championship

My grandson Jax is on the Peewee football team
and my husband Kelly is the head coach.
The team won the North Cascade  League division this past weekend.
They were so excited as you can see from the above picture.
This is my grandson and this picture was also the Photo of the day in the local paper.
This group of kids and coaches worked so hard and it all paid off last weekend.
They had to get up early and ride a ferry over to the mainland to play.
My daughter Darcey was the team mom kept the excitement going even after the game by having everyone meet at Jump place. The energy these kid have is amazing!
Congratulations to Everyone!

Poor Bernice LaFleece

Poor little Bernice was attacked by a dog.
But she keeps smiling, I think its now because she is getting to heal
right next to house and get lots and lots of special attention.

The dog got her back side and we couldn't see just
how bad it was until we shaved her.
and the medicine we spray on her turns purple.
so she looks a bit funny right now.

She doesn't mind getting the medicine sprayed
on her at all if there is plenty to eat.
It a nice distraction.
I think Dr.'s should offer chocolate before shots.
It couldn't hurt....

I don't think she is going to like having to back down with the other sheep,
she is getting very spoiled.
She just Baaaa's when she wants something ....
So glad she's healing so well....
dang dog

Babydoll Southdown

We are so lucky to have Babydoll Southdowns on our farm.

They are the sweetest animals and are always smiling.

Our two white ones are girls names Bernice LaFleece and Dolly Madison.
We have 1 weathered boy named Sir Lambsalot.
it is so fun to listen to them baaa and just watch them.
we will be mixing their fiber in with our alpacas.
I think we have found the best animals for our fiber farm.
And next year we will add a boy so we can have baby lambs.

Stuck on Baby Bionic Gear Bag

I decided to try the Baby Bionic Bag.
I love my full size one.

I used scraps to make the outside. This is one of my favorite fabrics.
But I am stuck right at this point.
The sides are done the same as the Bionic Gear Bag and if I do the zipper as the directions say everything will fall out the sides.
So I am trying to decide if it needs a short zipper or higher sides.
Has anyone made this yet that has a solution?

It is the cutest bag I just don't want things to fall out.

Turkey Visitors

The turkeys just love getting on my bedroom porch....
I think they like to look at themselves in the window....hahahaha

And climbing on the rails is their favorite.
They like climbing on everything, tables, cars, trucks, planters, large rocks and even Kelly's saw horses.

They aren't the prettiest birds but they are very curious.

They like to be in on everything that goes on here.

This gray one just loves my daughter. Every time it comes around her you see
more puffing up than ever.

No puffing up for me.

This is my favorite machine!
I do have 2 black ones and they all sew the same,
but there is something about sewing on a machine that is such a fun color!
And nothing sews a straight line like this machine!

Fun at the Fair

We had so much fun at the fair.
This quilt won a blue ribbon, best of class and Peoples choice!
The pattern is called Comforts of Home by Bee in My Bonnet.

This one won a blue ribbon!
This is one of Lori Holt's patterns called Remember Grandma' Apron.

This was one of my favorites to make. And it won't a blue ribbon too!
This was from one of Jenny Doan's tutorials on YouTube under Missouri Quilt Company.

This is anyone one from Jenny' tutorials. And it got a blue ribbon too!

Another Bee in my Bonnet pattern from Lori's calendar, and a blue ribbon winner too!

But I do have to say the fun on of the fair was my grandson Jackson winning a blue ribbon for the cookies he made all by himself! He was so excited.
